Midyear Sales Have Never Been This Fun with Shoppertainment LIVE & Tiktok PH!

In this era of digitalization, TikTok has undoubtedly figured out what it takes to entertain different generations – Gen Zs, Millennials, and even the older generations. TikTok has transformed itself from a social media platform that many consider a cringe app to a reliable source of dopamine that can keep many Filipinos occupied for hours, aimlessly scrolling the boredom away. Now, with it successfully achieving its mission to inspire creativity and bring joy, TikTok looks to bring brands closer to consumers online with TikTok Shopping – an easy and convenient way that allows TikTok users to buy products featured by their favorite creators without having to leave the app or be redirected to another website or store.

To highlight the best of this new addition as well as the numerous promising brands and products out there, TikTok Shop Philippines partnered with Shoppertainment LIVE to host its first-ever midyear sale event like no other. The event called TikTok Shop Midyear Sale LIVE, which went live last June 15 to 21, offered an extra fun and seamless shopping experience to consumers and a well-positioned and unique space for creators and brands to promote and sell products during such a timely sale event. 

“Six-figure sales for every 2-hour episode, and we did it 6x in one week. This is not a question if there is commerce on TikTok; there is, and it’s done the Shoppertainment LIVE way,” said Hiyasmin Neri-Soyao, CEO and co-founder of Shoppertainment LIVE.

A midyear sale of a kind

For the first-ever TikTok Shop Philippines midyear sale, Shoppertainment LIVE hosted six shoppable live video episodes featuring some of today’s trending influencers and internet celebrities on TikTok, the hottest quality products on the platform, discounts of up to 70%, free shipping vouchers, and other exclusive deals, coupons and prizes, all of which contributed to driving engagement and conversion to the participating brands and helping online shoppers shop smart.

Each episode was hosted by none other than Hiyasmin Neri-Soyao, who, aside from being the woman behind Shoppertainment LIVE, is also a veteran shop host and the face of Shoppertainment LIVE’s newest TikTok program: “Patok sa TikTok.”

The first episode of the TikTok Shop Midyear Sale LIVE featured the right balance of being educational and entertaining as Macoy Dubs taught the viewers a little Bekinese or Filipino gay slang while live selling the hottest products on TikTok Shop Philippines!

Meanwhile, rising stars Alfea Zulueta and Bianca Forro proved what a G22 member is capable of as they showed what fun and entertainment really look like during their respective Midyear Sale episodes. The two young artists even shared the ‘happy dance’ they do whenever they receive their much-anticipated orders they found online.

Celebrities Kakai Bautista and Glaiza de Castro also joined in on the fun and took their shoppable livestream episodes to the next level with their experience in hosting and guesting in numerous TV programs, which got online shoppers not just to add-to-cart but to checkout.

TikTok’s “Pambansang Bortang Barbie,” Aaron Maniego, then capped off the midyear sale event on a positive note as he celebrated Pride Month with the whole Shoppertainment team and kept the last episode as engaging and fun as it can be even in the middle of product demos with his wit and humor that made the crowd laugh.

Throughout the event, Shoppertainment LIVE, together with the personalities who joined in on celebrating the middle of the year with TikTok Shop Philippines, made sure to keep the fun going and the sales coming the Shoppertainment LIVE way because, as said by Hiyasmin Neri-Soyao, “TikTok Shop is different from other e-commerce platforms, which means we have to do it differently to get it right.
