With gift-giving being a big part of Christmas tradition in the Philippines, Uniqlo wants to make shopping for holiday presents easier for Filipinos through their exciting offers, novelties, and events throughout November and December. To officially kick off the holiday season, Uniqlo held a tree lighting ceremony last November 23, 2022 at Glorietta 4, Dolphin Park. 

A night of lights and music 

An evening of festivities and music awaited guests of the one-hour event hosted by Issa Litton who introduced Uniqlo LifeWear as the perfect gift for loved ones this Christmas. Designed to make everyone’s life better, LifeWear is simple, high-quality, everyday clothing with a practical sense of beauty— always evolving, ingenious in detail, and thought through with life’s needs in mind. From dry collar t-shirts to mini shoulder bags, Filipinos will find something for everyone on their gift list this holiday season at Uniqlo.

To formally start the program, FAST Retailing Philippines COO Geraldine Sia gave a short but heartwarming message. “For us Filipinos, this holiday is one of the most important occasions of the year. It is the time we are able to celebrate together with our friends, our families, and with all our loved ones. Through the gift of LifeWear, Uniqlo is able to be part of everyone’s lives,” she said as she wished the audience to enjoy the night.

FAST Retailing Philippines CEO Yuki Yamada also followed suit, expressing his gratitude for everyone who attended the event. “The holiday season, I know this is very special for the Filipinos, we hope that you and your loved ones continue to experience the gift of the LifeWear. We look forward to welcoming you to our stores and online for holiday gifts. Maraming salamat po and please enjoy the rest of the night,” he said.

Music filled the night as promised as The Juans serenaded the audience with their hit songs like Umaga, Hatid, and Hindi Tayo Pwede. Jose Mari Chan, meanwhile, performed his famous holiday song Christmas in Our Hearts. The Father of Christmas Music and The Juans delighted the attendees even more with their song collaboration Let’s Celebrate Together.

They also shared the stage with Ms. Sia and Mr. Yamada as they unveiled and lighted up the Uniqlo holiday display together including a Christmas tree, a giant gift box, and Uniqlo global flagship store façade.
